Dog Camp

Ruffin’ It Dog Camp is an adventure camp for your best friend where we explore, play, swim, run, hike and get in lots of new sniffs at various locations around the Wasatch and Uintas! In addition to all that fun exercise, we practice basic training skills and socialization with other well-behaved pups in the great outdoors. Out at camp, we focus on recall and pack walking, while working through harder tasks like emotional regulation and relaxation. Ultimately, we want to build confidence in our campers and never miss opportunities to let them be dogs! We help dogs navigate how to react to distractions out on the trails, so they come home feeling happy and relaxed. This way, you can unwind and enjoy peace of mind too!

A typical day at dog camp consists of around 1.5 to 2 hour hiking adventures, plus the time riding in the car to the trail. Overall, you can expect your dog to be out of the house for around 2-5 hours for camp. Dog Camp includes free pick-up and drop off services!

It is important to ensure that every camper is a good fit for the pack, so please fill out the form below if you are interested in sending your dog to dog camp!

Benefits of Dog Camp

  • Free Pick Up & Drop Off

Life can get busy! Let us take one thing off your list. Reach out to see if you are on our pick-up route.

  • Obedience Practice

We work on obedience training at camp and practice relaxation and energy regulation in the outdoors. This helps dogs behave better at home.

  • Physical Exercise

We get a lot of exercise out at camp. We pack walk, swim, hike, run, and play with our friends, so you never have to feel guilty leaving your best bud inside. Every day at Dog Camp is the best day ever!

  • Off-Leash Recall

At camp, we practice recall reliability and off-leash skills consistently. This builds up a confidence for you and your dog when you’re out on an off-leash walk with them.

Dog Camp is for well-behaved dogs and is not a good fit for every dog. Read below to see if your dog would be a good candidate to join the pack.

Is your dog consistently off-leash?

Ideally, camp dogs are comfortable being off-leash with their owners. Although we work on improving recall skills at camp, your dog needs to have a good base of recall before attending.

Does your dog get along with other

dogs?

Dogs that love other dogs and people are ideal candidates for camp. Does your dog have doggie friends? If so, that means they are one step closer to joining the pack.

Does your dog enjoy the car?

Being able to ride well in the car is important; camp dogs all ride in the car together and should feel comfortable sharing their space.

Is your dog at least a year old?

In order for dogs to attend camp, they need to be at least a year old. If your dog is not quite a year old, reach out and get on our waitlist so they can join as soon as they are old enough. Also consider using us for other services, so we can prep your dog for dog camp.
